SafeNet Clinics

Uganda’s First Integrated Digital Health and Online Child Protection Ecosystem

Protecting children’s mental health, wellbeing, and safety in the digital age through digital protection, education, psychosocial support, safeguarding systems, and community action.

Why SafeNet Clinics Matters

Children’s safety now extends beyond the physical world.

The internet has transformed how children learn, communicate, and access opportunities. However, it has also introduced new risks that threaten their mental health, emotional wellbeing, safety, and development.

SafeNet Clinics was established to address one of the fastest-growing yet least addressed public health and child protection challenges of our time: technology-enabled harm against children and adolescents.

The Challenge

Children are increasingly exposed to online risks

Across Uganda and Africa, many children, schools, families, and communities still lack the tools and support systems needed to prevent, identify, and respond to digital harms.

!

Cyberbullying

Online harassment, intimidation, humiliation, and peer-based digital abuse.

Online Exploitation

Grooming, sextortion, abuse, and other forms of technology-enabled violence.

Harmful Content

Exposure to violent, unsafe, manipulative, or developmentally harmful content.

Digital Addiction

Unhealthy digital habits that affect learning, relationships, and wellbeing.

Our Vision

To build Africa’s leading digital health and online child protection ecosystem.

A system that safeguards children’s mental health, wellbeing, and safety from technology-enabled harms.

Our Goal

To establish Uganda’s first integrated Digital Health and Wellbeing Ecosystem.

SafeNet Clinics protects children and adolescents from cyberbullying, online exploitation, harmful content, digital addiction, and other online risks through prevention, early intervention, education, and community-based support systems.
